Trent Leyda

Prior to co-founding SpirePoint Private Client, Trent Leyda led The Leyda Group, a private wealth management practice at Morgan Stanley, from 2009 to 2023. He began his career in New York City in 1995 at a family wealth office, where he rose to become Managing Director. Over the years, Trent earned national recognition, named among Barron’s Top 1200 Financial Advisors and Forbes’ Top Advisors from 2018 through 2023. Trent is especially proud of The Leyda Group’s recognition as a Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Management Team.

Since moving to Vero Beach in 2001, Trent has dedicated himself to building a high-performing team focused on creating a premier family wealth office. SpirePoint is the culmination of three decades of experience and a long-held vision: to provide multi-generational families with personalized, comprehensive financial guidance that puts people before profits.

When pursuing his college education, Trent balanced a full-time job with night classes. He went on to earn an MBA from the Pace Lubin School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in International Economics from the State University of New York.

A man of wide-ranging curiosity, Trent starts each day before sunrise with the Financial Times, drawn to the intersection of global markets, policy, and human behavior. He is an avid reader of financial literature and is fascinated by historical and geopolitical narratives. His love of history stems from a lifelong desire to understand how the world really works, a perspective that fuels his ability to simplify complex financial strategies for his clients. He is also passionate about the arts, golf, and community impact. He serves on the Golf Committee for the Boys & Girls Club, a cause close to his heart, having benefited from similar programs as a child. He is a strong advocate for helping provide children with access to essential life skills.

Trent is deeply grateful for the unwavering support of his wife, Rachel, to whom he has been married for 25 years. The two have been blessed with two children, a son, Owen, and a daughter, Sophie. Having been raised by a single mother, he believes fatherhood to be the most rewarding, humbling journey of his life.

Trent often says, “If I can make the lives of those around me better, how can my own life not improve?” This motto is not only a personal belief, but it is the compass that guides his leadership, his firm, and his daily life.
