Susie Zimmerman

Prior to my 16-year career in financial services with Morgan Stanley, I worked as a pharmaceutical chemist for GlaxoSmithKine. Until 2021, I worked in several operational roles including senior management. Seeking a role with more client interaction, I joined The Leyda Group in the role of Group Director and subsequently became part of the founding team of SpirePoint Private Client.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Molecular Biology from East Tennessee State University. In 2016, while continuing to work full-time, I earned my MBA from the University of Tennessee.

My experience in science has helped me evolve into the person I am today. It taught me the importance of self-management, process development, attention to detail, analytical skills and so much more. These are all skills that I use in the day-to-day management of SpirePoint’s operations, serving our clients.

I am the mom of two fantastic children, one son and one daughter. We spend our spare time showing our love for Mickey Mouse by going to Disney World. I have had a long-term passion for teaching Women's Self Defense. This eventually led to the opening of my own martial arts school where I get to teach children, women and men the art of jiu-jitsu as a Gracie Certified Instructor.
